EnsiliTech® Wins MedTech & HealthTech Startup of the Year at National UK Startup Awards 2025
Bristol, UK – EnsiliTech is proud to announce that it been named MedTech & HealthTech Startup of the Year at the UK Startup Awards 2025, recognising the company’s groundbreaking Ensilication® platform technology.
The category celebrates innovative startup businesses focused on improving and revolutionising healthcare through cutting-edge technology. EnsiliTech stood out for its Ensilication® platform, a patented technology that protects biopharmaceuticals such as vaccines, antibodies and enzymes from heat damage by encasing them in a tailored silica shell.
This breakthrough removes the reliance on costly and fragile cold-chain infrastructure. By enabling medicines to remain stable at temperatures up to 50 °C, EnsiliTech is helping to sustainably improve access to life-saving treatments worldwide - particularly in regions where refrigeration is unreliable.
“We’re honoured to receive this national award, which validates our mission to unlock access to vital therapies and improve global health outcomes,” said Dr Asel Sartbaeva, EnsiliTech co-founder and CEO. “This recognition shines a spotlight on our team’s dedication and the transformative potential of Ensilication.”
The Startup of the Year Awards highlight the most impactful emerging businesses across industries. Being named MedTech & HealthTech Startup of the Year affirms EnsiliTech’s role as one of the most promising, driving the future of healthcare.
