EnsiliTech® CEO Dr. Asel Sartbaeva Named ‘Founder of the Year’ at The Sparkies Awards 2025
Bristol, UK, 21st July 2025 — EnsiliTech is delighted to announce that its co-founder and CEO, Asel Sartbaeva, has been named Founder of the Year at the 2025 Sparkies Awards, celebrating tech innovation across the South West.
Asel was recognised for her exemplary leadership and pioneering work on Ensilication®, transforming the research concept into a developing business - EnsiliTech’s breakthrough technology that stabilises biopharmaceuticals, removing the need for refrigeration. Her scientific innovation has the potential to revolutionise access to medicines - especially in Low and Middle-Income Countries where cold chain infrastructure is limited or unavailable.
The award also recognised Asel’s position as a scientific role model and advocate for women in STEM. As a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, she continues to champion girls’ education and empowerment through science, both in her home country of Kyrgyzstan and more broadly.
Organised by TechSPARK, the Sparkies Awards honour the most dynamic tech talent, startups, and leaders across the region. The Founder of the Year award celebrates entrepreneurs who are not only building successful companies but also driving meaningful impact through innovation.
“I’m truly honoured to receive this award,” said Asel. “At EnsiliTech, our mission is to make life-saving vaccines and other treatments accessible to everyone, everywhere. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team, the strength of our science, and the belief that innovation should serve humanity.”
The award follows a year of significant momentum for EnsiliTech, with the company’s Ensilication platform technology at the forefront of biotech innovation.
